A nature-rich space for play, curiosity, and connection.
Hallam Early Learning Centre is more than just a playground it’s a thoughtfully designed native landscape built to spark imagination, creativity, and comfort for young children. From the ground up, this project brought together natural materials, intentional design, and collaborative execution to create a warm, inspiring environment where little ones can thrive.
Delivered in partnership with landscape designer Clare from Orche and the team at Intrec, this space is now home to open-ended play, calm green zones, and discovery at every turn — and we’re proud to be continuing its care through ongoing maintenance.
What we delivered:
✔️ Full site build from the ground up
✔️ Native-inspired landscape using natural timber and sustainable materials
✔️ Soft turf play areas for open movement and games
✔️ A beautiful central arbor and timber deck as the heart of the space
✔️ Swing sets placed at the upper level for playful elevation
✔️ Outdoor play kitchen to support sensory and imaginative play
✔️ Shaded sails throughout for sun protection and year-round comfort
✔️ Meandering pathways guiding children through different play zones and natural features
✔️ Planting that complements the native theme
Why it matters to us!
At Brocor, we believe in building spaces that serve more than a purpose, they shape experiences. This early learning project in Hallam is a reflection of that philosophy. With soft transitions, rich textures, and elements of discovery woven into every corner, the outdoor environment supports unstructured play, quiet moments, and meaningful exploration.
It’s a space where children can wonder, and feel grounded in nature and thanks to the Brocor Grounds Maintenance team, it will continue to be well-cared-for as it evolves with the seasons.
