Brief
To construct an outdoor courtyard area for a newly built senior learning center.
Challenges: With the rest of the school still fully operational, special care needed to be taken to not disrupt the students learning as much as possible.
Result
Rather than having plain gardens and concrete, we created a space of interest with raised concrete walls to house synthetic turf and gardens with an alley of maples planted within the concrete. The custom benches on the walls creates a space for the children to do some outdoor learning or just sit and relax. An outdoor learning center positioned outside one of the classrooms enables teachers and students to make use of the space.
