Brief
As apart of C&W’s PPP portfolio, ovals must be in a state that students can use all year round. The ovals historically relied on natural rainfall and it’s unpredictability to keep them green. Brocor was contracted to deliver a remotely controlled smart system.
Result
Following an on site audit of water pressure and flow, Brocor commissioned an irrigation design to best suit each site. Through consultation with C&W and the state, final designs were signed off and agreed to. Through our experienced procurement team we mitigated any risk of delays during installation by ensuring the supply of custom pumps and controllers in a challenging and busy time leading into the main school break. This ensured we had the ovals open for the new school year. Delivery and installation of pipework was carried out with minimal impact to the existing oval grass using specialist equipment. Reducing the cost of rectification and time without limiting access to the oval to students.
